Today I’m celebrating my 100th post!
By its nature, a blog is a very public venue. A blogger shares his/her thoughts, ideas, and oftentimes bits of their personal life. Out of the millions of people searching the Internet for something that interests them, only a very few will discover your blog. They read it and come back for more—or they don’t. It’s an act of finding a common ground of interest and it’s important for the blog writer to know whether what is shared has some meaning to others.
To thank you for being with me during this amazing adventure in the world of blogging, I’m offering a gift of a set of three painted metal bird ornaments I found recently. Amongst other symbolic meanings, birds represent ideas and the world of shared communication—pretty much evocative of what I want my blog to convey.
Please leave a comment on this post telling me what you like—or even dislike—about the Junie Moon blog. I’ll keep the give-away open until midnight on December 30 and will draw the winning name on December 31.
June, I found you through the AB In Stitches Sew-Along on Flickr and was very excited when you started a blog. I love reading your daily insights but what I love most of all is how often you help others. You are an inspiration to me and many others on how we all should live and I thank you for that!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your 100th post! I've really enjoyed your healthy countdown to Christmas and your site is so easy to read - a nice clean design with lovely photographs..
ReplyDeleteHappy 100th June! I am proud to say I 'knew' you, even before your blog, from Flikr.
ReplyDeleteAnd the reason I keep visiting? The generosity of your spirit that showed in the countless friendly, supportive comments you left on photos, shines through even stronger here.
Congratulations and here's to many more entries.

100 posts? I love the post and your ideas and you sharing your life. I dislike that sometimes life takes over and you can not post everyday and I can not read everyday! LOL! Congratulations! Grace
ReplyDeleteCongratulations!! And Happy New Year!

I can't remember how I got to your blog but I do read it every day. That is one of the reasons I keep coming back! You post every day and some people don't blog but every other day, week, etc. I live in a somewhat remote area and your bloggings help me feel more "connected" to the human race. Plus - you are extremely talented in so many ways and I learn so much about different arts and crafts and cooking, etc. Love the birds too! We feed them all winter:) and of course give them unfrozen water to bathe in and drink. Happy New Year!!
ReplyDeleteJune, I was thrilled when you finally started a blog as I was watching your flickr photos through my bloglines account for new updates to your creativity. Your creativity is inspiring and you are so talented. I think the best thing about you is your kind heart which comes through your blog very easily. Congrats!
ReplyDeleteHurray for 100 posts! I love all of your gorgeous photography, and the lovely crafting you do. Thank you for your wonderful blog.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations, June! I always knew you were a blogger waiting to happen. I like this blog because it's you, and because now other people get to know how talented and kind you are.
ReplyDeleteYou rock!
Hmmm..How did I find your blog? I think I saw a picture I liked on flickr, which then led to a blog, which then led to AB In Stitches sew along. I noticed right away what kind and thoughtful your comments you left on everyones submissions. But your eye for detail in all of your projects kept me coming back to your flickr page. Your work looks as though it is right out of a magazine. I thoroughly enjoy reading your blog each day and look forward to more in 2008. Happy 100th post!
ReplyDeleteHi June! I found your blog through flickr through all the comments you left for the Amy Butler In Stitches Sew Along. I love your blog because just reading me calms me down. It so soothing to read your blog and your ideas and inspirations are truly amazing. Happy 100th post!

ReplyDeleteCongratulations on 100! I discovered your blog through your kind comments left at Feeling Stitchy. But I would have to say that I really enjoyed your earth friendly cleaning recipes. Congratulations on your 100th post! While I am a relatively new visitor, I have found encouragement & blessings here; I believe it's the "common ground" you mention- whether hobbies, life, or philosophy. Anyway, I look forward to following the path of life with you as my friend.

ReplyDelete100 Posts! WOW! What I like most is that you opened the world of blogging to me. You're my mentor on blogging how-to's and craftiness! You put an elegant touch to projects and they don't have that yucky home-made look. I try to remember that so my 'stuff' looks classy, like yours, and not trashy...! Also like that you tell where to find things on the web. I've used countless sites you've posted. Thanks a bunch!
ReplyDelete100 Posts! WOW! You are my blogging mentor, and have opened the world of blogging to me. I like that your crafts are classy, not trashy, and you always present them in an elegant way. I try to pay closer attention to that in my own crafts, now. I also like that you tell where to go on the web, and have found that most helpful. Thanks a bunch!
ReplyDeleteOh, June, you know exactly what I love about this blog: your positive voice, the variety of ways to share our gifts with others through the good works you often mention, and the many and diverse interests you discuss. That's it in a nutshell. Reading your posts are always a joy. :) Thank you for sharing.
ReplyDeleteI love your grace and genuine caring ways you express through creativity and word.
ReplyDeleteJune, How could anyone write a dislike comment? You always have something interesting to comment on and offer many great ideas. It was a big thing to post through the days leading up to Christmas with inspiring thoughts, projects, and recipes. I'm hoping the little advent house will still be available on clearance at Target when I get back there!
