Car Spring Cleaning

Today I’ve decided to get my car detailed as part of my spring cleaning. It’s also the time of year when my annual Arizona car registration has just been renewed and our new car insurance cards have arrived.

I’ve been keeping these papers in an old vinyl folder that has pretty much begun to fall apart. So I sewed a new one using the same pattern as the coupon organizer I made. Scraps of fabric from my stash along with a piece of fabric that Sarah at Sassy Priscilla sent me in February worked great for this morning’s project.

I just discovered that the back of our telephone book has lots of discount coupons for all sorts of things, including things like car washes and oil changes. Now my new car organizer can hold those coupons, too.

  2. So pretty, and I bet it fits better in the glove compartment and it holds more than your previous folder.

I never looked in the back of my phone book --- I hope I find coupons too! Great idea -- thanks, June!

  3. Hi Junie!

I come to you through Kari & Kijsa! Nice little spot! My middle name is June. I go by KJ on my blog and Karen June professionally.

I love your organizer. How much would you charge to make one? I don't own a sewing machine and paper crafts are more my thing (with some needle arts).

Also, I appreciated your courage to post the cute little sign about award tagging. I, personally, am always honored by positive attention; however, there are so many of these tags being handed out that I don't quite understand how the award remains "special". Anyway, my 2 cents...

    Have a great day!

  5. P.S. It occurred to me after posting that you might just be borrowing the name of "Junie Moon" as a blogging name. Of course I am familiar with the reference. Just one of those "duh" moments...

  18. Is it too soon to be thinking about holiday gifts? I mean, this is something everyone could use and I bet is fairly quick to put together.

I might have to start making a few of these now and hoard them for the holidays.

    Oh June! I love it!
