Beaded Flip-Flops

Cox Communications is working on updating our cables and Internet access is sporadic right now. Yesterday they had some sort of accident which meant a cable was erroneously cut. So, I’m going to quick make my post and try to read some blogs and write comments before Cox gets back to work in front of my house and cuts me off again like yesterday.

I decided to give beading a try on a very simple project I saw in Sew Simple magazine. Some inexpensive cloth-covered flip-flops from Target and a couple of packages of beads from Jo-Ann’s were all I needed.

Jimmy Choo and Manolo Blahnik haven’t anything to fear from me, but I did have fun.

Jimmy Moon, I like that! Those are my favorite projects. I love the ones that make people do a double take, because quietly on the inside you're saying "I am crafty here me ROAR". Those projects can scream it for you.

Very pretty June! It's great to be able to choose the type of beads and colors that you want. I bet your neices would enjoy this project too.

Good luck with the cable! I was hesitant to send a reply e-mail to your blackberry yesterday -- expenisive isn't it?

Hugs, Pat

Beautiful! How in the heck did you do that? My 4 year old daughter would love to do a craft like that (she's craft-crazy). Is it simple enough or a bit beyond a 4 yr old's realm?

Sewn then, not glued? I was meaning to try a glue version of this craft but you beat me to it and with a bit more class I think. I may spruce up a pair for Loopy if I have the time.
