Daily Housecleaning Schedule

Since my creative endeavors aren’t ready for show-and-tell today, I thought sharing my daily housecleaning schedule might be helpful. I’m always curious as to how other people organize their daily cleaning chores and thought you might wonder as well.

The list looks daunting, but it’s really not that bad and takes me only a couple of hours to accomplish.

Just click on the picture to enlarge and print.

There are days I don’t feel like doing anything at all—so I don’t. Those times may stem from not feeling well, a craft project was too much fun to stop, or we’ve planned some outing for the day. Instead of worrying about it, I just pick up my cleaning routine the next day. My house won’t fall apart and the world will absolutely not come to an end.

Do you have a daily cleaning list? As always, I’m curious as to whether I need to adjust my own schedule.

Thanks for sharing your list ~ I need to make one for my cleaning routine. Maybe it will keep me on track ~ right now it is still full of puppy training !!

Wow! That's really inspiring! I've actually printed it out. There's a part of me that wishes I could just be fully domesticated and not have to go to work every day. My house would be so clean! (Or would it just be messier because I'd be sewing all day...)

A nice daydream! Thanks...

What a through list! I need something like this to keep me on track. Since my children left home, and I retired, I seem to be much more relaxed about housework. I guess I feel like this is "my time" to have fun now! :-)
Very often I do a one day "top to bottom" cleaning on a Friday and the rest of the time it's just clutter management and superfical cleaning. It probably would not pass the white glove test ..lol!

Oooh, that is very thorough! I have a mental list, and I use flylady - but mine is done in blocks of ten minutes here and there as the girls are occupied with other things. SO instead of being on the computer, I probably ought to take advantage of ten minutes peace and hoover the floors!

Wow, that's an awesome list, and I am so impressed with how much you accomplish! My list is shorter, augmented by the childrens' chore lists, and has more items that are weekly instead of daily. (i.e., My floor NEEDS vacuuming everyday, but it doesn't get it!)

Wow! Your house must be spotless! Years (and I do mean years!) ago I had a similar schedule -- jobs for daily (by specific day), weekly, monthly, bi-monthly, yearly, etc. I remember when we got our very first little apple computer (oh my, those things seem like toys now) I wrote a little computer program containing my cleaning schedule. I just got on my computer every day and typed in the day of the week and the computer told me what to do. It was wonderful and my house was always clean. Now, I just have a dirty house LOL!

Oh my goodness... your schedule knocked me over. I'm just not a list person... just do what needs to be done when I get around to it. It's sort of like living in a fraternity house... stuff all over. Really!! I'm not proud of the piles, but they are colorful and pass for 'still lifes'.

And quess what Junie... I may be in Phoenix for the whole month of November. I'm going with my older daughter for my birthday (9th) and Wendy suggested I stay ntil Thanksgiving and fly home with Boyd. So, that's the plan right now.
Love to you and your Dub,
Joni

Daily housecleaning schedule? Hahaha!

Oh, you weren't kidding, were you? My housecleaning schedule is something along the lines of zooming madly around an hour before a visitor arrives.

Wow I'm impressed! That's some list. I don't have a list ...are we suppose to have a list? I have a mental list ....vacume daily ...make bed daily ...dust twice a week etc, etc... Your list is way more detailed than mine! I've learned to not be so hard on myself cleaning and stuff. As long as the house is neat and vacumed daily I'm okay! Oh and gotta have the bed made! Dear Hubby thinks it's hilarious that the bed has to be neatly made every morning! He doesn't get it!

Great list Junie,
I kind of do the same thing.
I do make exceptions when needed too.

I have a routine, but it's not as involved as yours. I mainly do what needs doing whenever that is. I also do a Big Clean on Fri or Sat (depending on what's happening in our lives).

I'm a Zen cleaner. I prioritize by what's currently bugging me the most, which was the guest bathroom project and NOT the pile of dishes in the kitchen. My feeling is that if I don't remember it on my own, it probably doesn't need done. :)

Changing sheets every other day? I hope that's an addition to the schedule since all the kids left home!

Wow, that is sooooooooo impressive! I'll have to make that a goal! You must do a lot of laundry, changing the sheets & towels so often! Do you have another list for bigger chores like inside the cupboards, etc.? I'll print this out & work on it.

June, I'm afraid I don't have a cleaning list. Mind you, if I had one, I'd likely get more [cleaning] done. I work well with lists and with goals. I learned something from a friend years ago and it sure works well for me. It's the principle of using only 15 minutes to tackle something: 15 minutes dedicated to it and no more. Well, I adapt that for most things and do 30 minutes. Whether it's window cleaning (that way I don't procrastinate the huge task at hand and just get at it), deep vaccuuming, washing cupboards, or whatever. I always feel so good afterwards seeing how much I've accomplished in that 15 or 30 minute period. It makes doing more the next day in the same manner something almost worth looking forward to :)

Ummm, I think it's under that pile of clutter on my counter.
June, you're killing me!

Change the sheets every other day??? That seems like too much laundry for me...I guess I should have a list but I don't (and it shows!) Oh well, no one is complaining at the moment so I guess we're all OK for now. No one is sick either but I am home today and cleaning a bit.

When searching for domestic cleaning services for businesses, you should choose those that have a reputation for industry and market. The reason is very simple: these companies follow the law and make sure to provide customers with reliable workers, and thus minimizing the risk of damage.
