Thanksgiving Vacation

We’re off for Florida to spend Thanksgiving with our family. I’ll be back in Tucson and blogging again on Dec. 7. Please come back to visit as I’m offering a give-away that day.

Have a truly wonderful Thanksgiving with your family June. Most years I'm well on top of when the US Thanksgiving is but this year I haven't been watching US TV very much (which is how I usually get clued in to the date). Sorry I didn't send a note before you headed out.

"See" you when you get back!

I hope your Thanksgiving was wonderful June, and that your Christmas season is off to a wonderful start.

I was thinking of you last night while visiting at my sister's house. She told a little story about her 4 year old grandaughter that I knew you would appreciate. Sophia is her name, and she was watching a child's show on the television, while my sister was listening in from the kitchen, and cooking dinner. Sophia was intently involved in the subject of "What do you want to be when you grow up?" After a discussion of all the things that you could be, including most of the traditional jobs, the host of the show asked the children in the audience what they wanted to be when they grew up. My sister said that Sophia, just very quietly responded, "A mermaid".

Have a nice day, dear Junie Moon!
