Baking Valentine Gifts

Heart-shaped Whoopie Pies made great Valentine gifts to offer my students this week. I’ve never made Whoopie Pies before and wanted to give them a try.

After baking, filling, and finishing the final assembly, the treats were packed in boxes found at A.C. Moore. After last month’s baked offering, my students have been asking what I’d bring them in February. So, I took them sweet little hearts.

Hahaha -- I'm thinking you've spoiled your students. Now, what are you going to do for March LOL!

Those whoopie pies look amazing! Did you use a heart shaped pan, or cut them out, or freehand them?

Your students are so fortunate to have you! I bet in 10 years they will say their favorite part of college was your class. :)

What a wonderful thing you do for your students. One of my sons professors would bring donuts after each test or quiz as he felt they should leave happy no matter how they think they did.

Beautiful, June! Did you use a special heart shaped pan or did you cut the cakes with a cookie cutter? I wish I were one of your students! :)
