Naturally, my Kindle needs something lovely to protect it. I used my own pattern to sew a case.

Obviously, I’m still using pieces of that same yard of mermaid fabric from which I’ve been sewing lately. I can milk a yard of fabric to within a millimeter of its little woven life. Thanks to Heather Ross (updated 03/27/13: thank you for letting me know I accidentally said Bailey instead of Ross), my projects are looking suitably summery.

You are using every single bit of that fabric! The result is an ultra-coordinated look, which I love.
It's such a pretty fabric, June, and so perfect for you! I just got a Kindle and my husband bought a leather case with a built in light for me for Mother's Day.
Love that you even made a little pocket for the cable!

Good call on adding a cable pocket for that guy - I really like it! And, that iPad. Pffftt - it turns off when the temps get over 85. I nearly threw it in the ocean in Hawaii when it did that. So, I prefer the Kindle for beach reading anyway :)
The monogram is the best idea and you gave me a few new inspirations.
The cover for the Kindle is just the prefect way to carry that thing around. I did not know you would not be able to see the iPad in the sunlight....on the beach....and very happy to have that bit of information.
In-fact I am appreciative for all the data your have offered.
JUne, I realize you're on hiatus from your blog but I wanted to send you sincere and joyful seasons greetings. May you and yours enjoy a truly beautiful Christmas.
Oh, I would LOVE a tutorial for this kindle pouch since I got one for Christmas and I am a new to sewing! Could you email it or post, pretty please? I love all your lovely things!
Kindle case cover sleeve. With you're pieces all cut, you're now ready to sew!
That's very wonderful and awesome. It really fits with your ipad.
Love that fabric! Enjoy your vacay!
Psssst. Thats Heather Ross fabric. :)
Hi! Love your kindle case. Is your pattern available to download or purchase anywhere? I'd love to give it a go. Cheers!
