Shirley Temple Black

When I was a wee little girl, I wanted to be just like Shirley Temple. I watched all her movies and tried to emulate her activities as illustrated in my Shirley Temple coloring books. Whatever Shirley did--I did.

I am so sad she died today but very proud that my childhood heroine was such a wonderful role model. She grew up to be a super person and served our country as a foreign diplomat. Her death at 85 represents, for me, another chapter closed in the book of my own life--but it was a great chapter. RIP Shirley Temple Black.
