Megan at The Scent of Water is hosting a photo swap where we take and send one photo to our partner. The theme is “simplicity.”
As I view the photos others are submitting on Flickr, mine are completely different which worries me. My photo of the butterfly on the leaf is the closest to what they are posting.
Although we only need to send one photo, I couldn’t decide which to send so I’ll send five out of the many I took. All pictures were taken this past weekend as my husband and I wandered around Tucson Botanical Gardens. This is the fourth trip there within the last two months; there is always something amazing to see.

I thought the person I'm sending my photos to might also enjoy some greeting cards with each photo printed on the outside. The cards are blank inside.
I enclosed the applicable photo inside each card and included envelopes.
UPDATE: I've been asked by a few of you where I had my cards printed. I made them myself using my computer, printer, and blank cards I purchased at Michael's. I'll think about how to write a little tutorial about making them yourself and post it soon.

Your photos are wonderful! I would love to visit that botanical garden. What a wonderful place to spend a morning :-)
The photos are awesome. How nice to make them into cards. My favorite is the chair. Mostly because I love that shade of pink and the shadows are divine.
Totally amazing pictures ! Love how you turned them into cards. You have the neatest ideas :)

They're beautiful June. Can you tell us where you got your cards made?
Your photos are lovely, and I think they make very pretty notecards. Were you able to make the cards through Flickr? I'll have to try that someday.
As you saw in my blog we have 6 more weeks of winter here in the NE, and today it is snowing! I love the changing seasons, so it's OK. It makes me really treasure SPRING when it finally arrives.
Have a wonderful day, June! :-)
What an outstanding idea of making the cards plus enclosing the photo inside! I may borrow that idea for the next swap. I'm going to bookmark your site because I would love to read your tutorial on how to do them myself. I had some made in the past and they were so expensive and I was disappointed in the quality of the photofinishing.
Lovely photos btw, not to mention some excellent projects you've completed!!

All of your photos are lovely June, just like everything that you do. I was just thinking the other day, that making a set of cards from photos would make a nice gift for a friend! That's a nice idea for a swap, I think.
Have a great day!
I think your photos and those cards are simply beautiful. They are perfect!
Love your photos and your cards. The shadows photo is my favourite, love the colour of the chair.
Your photos are lovely.

Your photos are beautiful!
June, your photos are lovely. I am a bit daunted too by what I see in the group, not to mention by the photographic prowess of the partner I'm sending to. Eek!
Your photo's are amazing! I love the shadows.
June! Just lovely! Really!
Those chili peppers are my favorite but they are all beautiful. I'll watch for your tutorial, I don't have a fancy print program and really only know the basic photo stuff.
