This is the third and final of my projects for Finny and Kelli's Craft:Along 2009 challenge for October. Perfect for Halloween month, we were tasked to make Creamy Pumpkin Pasta.

I was really surprised when my husband said he likes the dish and wants me to make it again. This is due, in large part, by my keeping my mouth shut about the pumpkin ingredient. He’s adamantly stated for years he doesn’t like pumpkin. However, the dish was made and served, he pronounced it delicious, and I smiled inside about my little secret. You could call this both a trick and a treat.

You're hysterical June! I have to say, I would be skeptical -- I love pumpkin, but with lots of added sugar!
Hi Junie,
This sounds yummy!! That's funny that you kept your husband out of the loop on the pumpkin ingredient! Thanks for stopping by my blog, I'm glad you liked the bird knobs. I wanted to say too that I adore your mask cards in the previous post, they are wonderful!!
It looks really good.. and am sure taste the same.... interesting.. will have to try it... thanks for sharing
I guess he knows now?
Haha, a tricky pasta surprise!! It looks so good - I really wanted to make this, but there's no canned pumpkin to be found around here.
Sweet! I have this on the docket for next week - using some pumpkin puree harvested from last year's pumpkins (and frozen in the chesty until now).
I can't wait to taste the mysterious pumpkin-free ness of this pasta :)
Looks so good!
I printed this off. I can't wait to make it!!
Very cute and well-written post. I love all things pumpkin and will be making this pumpkin pasta recipe again.
Muahahahahaha!
Tricky, tricky. :)
Seriously, I should start doing the same thing. My husband is so picky about everything. But what he doesn't know won't hurt him, right? :D
That pasta looks absolutely yummy, btw. What did you think of the recipe?
)O(
boo
I'm going to have to try this one, I have the same problem with a pumpkin hater in my house.
