New Life
© June Scroggin, All Rights ReservedI’m now living in a beach town in Florida—my mermaid self has finally found home in a place with pure white sand and actual water. Eventually my husband will be here, too, but his job is still in dry Tucson. We are adjusting to this strange couplehood in which we find ourselves.
New Job
At the age of 58, I am back in the classroom teaching English at one of Florida’s state colleges—and I love it. Professor Junie Moon—how funny is that? It is good to do work that makes you feel useful in the world.
New Car
Moving to Florida meant giving up my personalized MRRMAID license plate when registering my vehicle, but my new ride makes up for it. My new-to-me car is super “zoomie”.
Hugs,

We don't know what all has happened to you, but the outcome... teaching English in a Florida beach town... doesn't sound half bad!
Oh boy....living in FL...my husband and I were talking about it last night. I could do it, I love it there. He, not so much....
I love your car Professor!
Beautiful, beautiful beach ...the colors of the water and sky are extraordinary! Breathe all of those calming colors in and when you exhale...share their colors with us! Lovely!
How wonderful that there are these positive and happy things in your life. I do hope life begins to reshuffle and settle for you but most of all that the sadness in your family's life will be greatly eased.
Welcome to Florida! I love living on the Emerald Coast, so if you find your way to my wonderful beach I would love to treat you to a homecooked meal and fabric-chatting!
My feet are freezing and you're basking in sunshine. You're going to be a Lily Pulitzer girl!
Professor Mermaid Junie Moon, those new things seem to be rather positive, and it’s good for you to see them as positive.
I hope your husband will soon be able to come over to Sunny Florida too!
Wow, June, what a fascinating change. I think teaching must be a rewarding experience, on the whole, for you. You love to share what you've learned with others.
All that blue water must make your mermaid heart sing!
Take good care.
Welcome home to your new life, Ms Junie! You have a fantastic attitude and I wish you much happiness in your new place, job, car and lifestyle. Big hugs!
Oh, the fabulous Junie Moon has reappeared -- it's going to be a great year indeed! I'm so happy to see you back -- you've been sorely missed. From here, it surely looks like good things are happening. And my, oh my, what a sweet ride!
I am so glad you are OK! I am so sorry about your troubling times (((hugs))). I was worried about you and your husband.
That being said...Florida! Wow! Which coast? My folks live in Florida.
Much love
It must be hard for you to have your husband living so far away, June, but the rest of the new developments in your life look really wonderful! That beach looks so beautiful!
I hope your move to Florida and your new career bring you heaps of joy Junie Moon. x
Still love ya baby. I'm always here for you. Perhaps you need some company! ROADTRIP! Hugs fm GA!
Teaching. In Florida. Driving a Beemer. Boy, you sure know how to keep us guessing, June!
I live in Florida now. I used to live in New England. I like Florida much more than the cold in New England, however I would like it a little bit cooler. I would love to end up in North Carolina or Virginia.
